Silent Streets

Category: Writing and Poetry

Come to the glorious nothingness
Among the silent streets, god  and  I
Commune, cold and laughing
Midst the heartfelt emptiness

Far removed from human truth
Within the soul's divided dream
Savoring every ruthless smile
Partners in this crime of love

Each night beneath this dappled
Dome, this art forged of light
We share power like paupers
Singing for a while with the wind
