I wished upon a falling tear

I wished upon a falling tear
Resounding a pity who’s unheard Strains
Silenced a thousand instruments Of delight
With melancholy airs

O Autumn, laden with sweet mournfulness
Calmly I lay my spinning head
At the golden feet of your  earth
And wipe away the dust of ages

My little sorrows are drowning
In the sound Of thunderous waters
Dissolving my heavy chains of vanity
I found holy chasteness under your sky

Hailing eternity with full choir
I marveled through gardens of delight
Dreaming a world that is fully awake
Where children of the morn yet soar
