My deep echoes with joyous laughter
I fear to look too closely within
Lest those bright waves disappear
I am no Solitude in refined attire
I call to those held in fiery palms
Who rage in crashing deed and woe
Things we deny and disguise for fear
I stand as a flower in some distant meadow
Bound on this unenviable bed of anguish
Bearing the rustling of tangled trees
Beyond the mountains and far away
I call to arms, wearing only a paper crown
A single sifted grain, am I, courtesy of the sand
By the gale I’m blown against my roots
No more than a glimmer, to the rainbow’s end
